The painting is part of a series featuring extracts from azulejos, a recurring feature of my heritage, combined with an absence of paint. The dynamic figure contrasts with the statuesque figures traditionally featured in the borders of azulejo panels, this striding catwalk figure breaks through the borders. This painting places these two contrasting worlds side-by-side to create new examples of beauty.
